2016 WAS THE HOTTEST YEAR ON RECORD according to scientist as reported by The Guardian Weekly 27.01.17:
Last year was the hottest on record, setting a new high for the third year in a row, with scientists firmly putting the blame on human activities that drive climate change (as in those activities which contribute to the emission of green house gasses)…
The effect of human activity on our climate is no longer subtle. It’s plain as day, as are the impacts – in form of record floods, droughts, superstorms and wildfires – that its having on us and our planet.
The solution is to curtail that human activity which contributes to green house gas emissions. This whole nonsense of farmers being urged to address climate change by investing in irrigation can be likened to infertile manure.
Where will the water come from for irrigation when there is drought? And when you irrigate and floods come will the crops survive being washed away; will they survive being submerged; will they not rot in the garden?
The donor countries caused global warming, but they are not reducing their green-house-gas emissions at any convincing speed. Most did not fulfill the Kyoto-Protocol obligations. Nor are they doing…
