“5 secrets you should keep to yourself if you don’t want to get killed| Stoic Philosophy,” is the title of a video on the YouTube Channel of “Stoic Thinking.”

A friend sister gifted me the link. What a powerful gift it is, and which I feel compelled to gift further to you my friends and followers.

Please watch it. You will learn exactly how and why telling your secretes can get you killed. Or telling other people’s secretes, including of your loved ones, can get them killed.

You will appreciate Stoic Training advice that (emphasis mine):

  • DO NOT share your personal financial information.
  • DO NOT disclose location and travel schedule.
  • DO NOT disclose information about personal security systems.
  • DO NOT share personal or family weaknesses.
  • DO NOT share information that can be used for identity theft.

Please do not think you are not doing it. You will be surprised how you are doing it and without knowing that you actually are.

In this our world in which we are under pressure to overtly extol our successes and to blow our own trumpet, many find ourselves “over sharing” without even realizing we have done so.

We all need “stoic training” so we gain an appreciation of “stoic thinking” and “stoicism.”

My light bulb moments, while watching and listening to the video, include getting an understanding of the beauty of “inner stability,” “discretion” and most importantly “quiet strength.”

Here are three of the many phrases and advice that rung true to me, as I listened to the video, and which I will make every effort to execute and live by, starting today:

  • DELETE what should no longer live on line (that which you posted that is).
  • AUDIT your online presence.
  • Be INTENTIONAL about what you share.

I cannot emphasize this enough, please, please find the video and watch it. Loads of advice freely gifted to you in an easy to learn, engaging and entertaining way.

Enhance your endowment with “stoic philosophy” and I encourage you to “live stoically.”

Thank you for dropping by and for engaging. Drop a like and leave a comment.
