Dear my people,

Election day and polling stations don’t have to be like war zones.

Think about it, no wonder increasingly there is low voter turnout.

What are we afraid of that we must be at war on election day.

Well, there is another way and which builds communities.

“Democracy is not only about having my say. It is also about living alongside people who have theirs.We vote differently. We buy from the same stalls. We go home still belonging to the same community.”

A powerful lesson from Australia that we should emulate.

Imagine the possibility our election days turning into community festivals of food, irrespective of who you voted.
