If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?

First, I had to Google the meaning of dinosaur to find out if my answer answers the question. Yes, I really don’t know much about the real mammal kind of dinosaur.

And so my answer is on this kind of dinasor:

“Someone who is old-fashioned or unable to adapt to modern times.”

This is spot on for me. Sometimes I find myself thinking if it ain’t broken don’t fix it, as in don’t change it.

My first watch was actually a digital watch and that is all it was, a watch.  Now there are ‘smart watches’ connected to other gadgets.

Growing up in the 1970s the phone was stationary in one place and hooked to wires. You needed to remember the telephone numbers or write them down or use a phone vbook. And you had to dial the number each time you called.

In those days, we humans were the ones with sharp memories. Now it is the ‘smart phones’ that are smart. I can barely remember my own phone number let alone of others.

Sometimes I feel terrorized by modern communication technology. They are capable of sending messages to ‘smart watches’ so that every second of your time you can be contacted!

It has normalized poor planning and last minute notification. Other people’s poor planning and crisis are easily transferred to another at the push of the button.

But on the upside, not bad that using  my ‘smart phone’ I started typing this post last night at midnight while  in bed. My eyes were barely open. The penny dropped and I postponed completing it to this morning.

Okay for emergencies modern communication technology is great, but some of us are taking it too far. The 1970s communication technology forced you to really consider making that phone call or sending that letter.😊
