Why do you blog?

I am a Ugandan researcher and activist who identifies as a socialist comrade and a cultural anthropologist.

My areas of interests include social institutions, culture and African knowledge systems.

Am a 2012 recipient of the Africa Initiative Graduate Research Grant, under the Centre for International Governance Innovation’s Africa Initiative Exchange Program, which enabled me to be a visiting scholar at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Since 2008, am a Fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative (ALI) and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN), following my successful completion of a Fellowship Program on full scholarship from the ALI-East Africa Foundation and the AGLN.

I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma and a Master of Science in Development Management Degree from The Open University U.K.; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

I have significant experience as a thought leader gained since 1992 through my work as a top administrator and activist within the civil society sector.

And in the media as a Writer, Editor, Producer, Media and Public Relations Expert, Blogger, Talk Show Host, Reporter, Presenter and Discussant.

Am deft operating within the arena of traditional media and of social media; and is skilful in tailoring messages in varied forms for influencing varied intended audiences.

I blog to let others know who I am and how I can be of service.

I blog so as to share my views and opinions and to be part of the conversation.

I blog because it is one of the ways I fit in and be part of community. And am nourished.
