Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.

I have been trying to pin just the one time that I felt out of place among my fellow women, but I think it a more fitting endeavor to acknowledge that is happening  a lot over an extended period.

I feel out of place especially now as a certain kind of “morality” of victorian England is being packaged for us and being officialized as what is proper.

Consider this. A group under the  “Emerging Leaders Programme (ELP)” thought of a need to conduct a baseline survey on sexual activity of university students with the view to establish their adherence to “positive sexual choices and values”. Defined as “still a virgin, are abstaining, and who are faithful to their marital partners.”

Anyway, whenever I am in a space and the morality policing, especially by the older women on younger women is inserted, I feel totally out of place.
