More and more, I am seduced by ideas brands. Those brands which effectively communicate and represent the best of one’s ideas and how one embodies them; amplifying the best in:
- Culture – Not only of old, but of now.
- Ethnicity
- Values
- Beliefs
- Profession
- Creative identity
- Lifestyle
- Etc.
And I love it when an ideas brand is genuinely embodied in the actions of those who claim it. From what I have read and heard about him, a great world famous example, is late Pope Francis.
Pope Francis’s branding, often referred to as the “People’s Pope,” emphasized his humility, authenticity, and accessibility.
He is generally believed to have stayed true to his ideas brand always, and to the very end, including how his remains were interred.
I love leaders who live true to their ideas brand, because then they are the more believable and authentic. And hopefully govern for the greater good.
We need more such leaders, with a clear ideas brand and which they live by in public and in private, in all that they do.
I aspire to be such a authentic and genuine person.
