I dream of a country and a world in which policies that matter in the lives of people are made on the basis of empirical evidence. I dream.

I dream to be among academics from different fields of study who pro-actively and or are intentionally consulted to bounce off ideas from different points of view that influence policy. I dream.

I dream to be among those who contribute user friendly facts that are used to make human-centered policies. I dream.

I dream, while I appreciate that knowledge generation is expensive, but know it is a necessary cost, to invest in good and factual basis for policies. I dream.

I dream that I will be that academic who is able to attract funding to do research and write in various forms for policy influence. I dream.

I dream to be among respected community oriented scholars, co-creating and contributing to the body of knowledge and for the greater good. I dream.

I dream that through my academic scholarly work I am able to earn a living that allows me the privilege to be in full time academia as my career. I dream.
