The Patron of Uganda Change Agent Association, Dr. Maggie Kigozi, and change agents world over.
In accordance with his wishes, I notify you that yesterday, 3rd July 2025, at 5:40 a.m. our Stan Burkey rested, whilst in the care of medical teams in Uganda.
I will share more later about his wishes of the “celebration of his life” by his change agent family.
For now, please hold his loved ones, especially his immediate family, in your thoughts and prayers.
May his soul find eternal rest, I pray.
It has been a year since you rested.
Happy 4th of July in heaven my friend, mentor and ‘professional father’, Stan Burkey.
I remember the day you insisted that we take that selfie (profiled photo).
I came to check on you when bad people had mugged you because they thought your binoculus was a top of the range camera.
And yes, most of the photos that I have of you, are of our lunches at my place. I am so glad I took them and documented our ‘love language of food’.
Some of the promises I made as we lunched, I have not yet fulfilled. I remain resolved though o fulfill each and everyone of them. I will keep my promises.
May your soul continue to find eternal rest I pray.
