These days, each time I see wild animals out of their traditional habitat, I am reminded of destruction of mother earth in the name of development.

A couple of months ago, we had visitors, monkeys at out centre and I wondered how long they had come. I wondered if they had come all the way from Karuma to Lira City, a distance of about 80 kilometers.

Of monkeys out of their natural habitat, I am wondering if a recent post of mine has been perceived in the realm of ‘monkey business.’

It started off trending and I even received a notification from WordPress of a bump in traffic to my blog. And shortly after the post indicated it had only one view?

I ask you help. Please clink on the link, read and leave a comment of your insights as to whether you would categorize it ‘monkey business’ material.

And I wonder whether it is the reason why this past week my blog is receiving a lot of traffic from the United States and China?

Civic activism rooted in humanism is the mission of blogger Owaraga Norah.

I am tickled that the top two trending posts on my blog this past week are posts I authored in 2014 and on food security.

But, I cannot help wonder if the interest in my blog is because I am considered to have engaged in monkey business.

Am I in trouble I wonder?

Am I overly sensitive for we are in the period of the 2025 “16 days of activism against gender-based violence” themed “End digital violence against all women and girls.”

Suppressing my posts and therefore my views online, which appears to be the case, I consider digital violence.

I am obviously concerned about it and feeling a little harassed.

It is is a form of psychological torture.

Could I be feeling exactly the same as wild animals whose natural habitats are disturbed to the extent they have to move out to places where we human now see them undignified?

Profiled photo = on our way past Karuma to Lira City, sometimes back plenty of monkeys on the road, clearly displaced from their natural habitat.
