The day before the general elections, I rushed to the big super market in the city. Like most we knew there were going to be two days of ordered public holidays. And besides we couldn’t be sure about the aftermath of the election.

Long story short, I park my car and attempt to go shopping at MAAMA SHOPPING CENTER. No sooner had I entered when I got attacked by the front line employees.

“NO BAGS ALLOWED” they screamed at me.

Yap, I was not allowed to proceed to the shopping aisles unless I left my bag out or at the front desk where there are cameras and “NO BODY WILL STEAL IT.” Dumb-Dumb could not see the irony.

Gosh, are we now a complete nation of dumb-dumb! How did we get here? That when we enter a supermarket the first thing the workers think of us is that we have come to steal and not to pay for our shopping.

I wondered, how is it the active citizens of this city allow such treatment? Where are the not voting with the wallets and purses and going on to another supermarket to shop?

So, it was the silver lining came to me. I asked myself, there must be other whole sellers in the city. Went across the road and they pointed me to the nearest one. Hope, skip and jump diagonally opposite is UPLAND ENTERPRISES.

I bought the items I wanted and felt totally good about it, giving money to a deserving merchant. And so it is that it is now forbidden to use my money or money held in trust by me shopping at MAMA!

Yes, I have zero tolerance for front line employees turned terrorist.

Henceforth, I am establishing a list of alternative wholesale shops in he city from which I shall bulk purchase.

I honestly cannot believe the people in this city and its leadership are stomaching the disrespect from Maama Shopping Center. As for me that was the third and last shopping trip to Maama.

One response to “MAAMA where front line employees are terrorists”
