“The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” Bad Bunny.

The first I heard him say it was his 2026 Grammy Award acceptance speech. Then, of course, the video clips of his 2026 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

I had not fully understood his assertion, until I watched an interview clip in which he explained what he meant. My understanding:

Do not fight back hate with hate of the one meting out hate. Instead show love and compassion to those whom hate is targeted towards and in that way you give them strength to overcome. Something like that.

I begun to think of my own journey, this far I have come.

I am remembering all the times I have been uplifted and emboldened because love I was given. Albeit, I did not realize was love at the time it was given, but in retrospect, I appreciate it as such.

When I embrace it, and put on my proverbial love shoes, I have found the strength to walk into the proverbial den and I have sleighed hate meted out against me.
