the Humanist view

There are brave people that I originally thought a little extreme in their confrontation with what they appreciated, long before I did, as an abnormality.

I now see that they too at first attempted to use ‘normal means’ to confront the status quo that I and many others are just beginning to truly appreciate as abnormal.

I now have a better appreciation and understanding of the status quo and do appreciate its is indeed abnormal.

I am now more understanding of the actions of the brave people that I speak of. I am now more inclined to accept that their seeming abnormal engagement is needed for these our times.

Their push back is legitimate in its abnormality for tackling the abnormal status quo. I pray they succeed.

I pray that when the time comes and things are back to normal, we may return to the normal engagement all round.

This is what came to my mind in response to today’s daily writing prompt: “What’s a lesson you’ve learned recently that shifted your perspective?“
