Sanity on Social Media

“I have no energy to engage with RUSSIA-TYPE-TRUMP-TYPE-FAKE-NEWS-VENDOR-TYPES with inferiority complexes, which mentally enslave them to think that their only affirmation comes from falsely critiquing and diminishing another – as Trump is obsessed with Obama, for example.” Continue reading here

This morning as I perused my face book wall, I happened on two posts that have impacted my day as follows:

The first , I read a patronizingly offensive post by one who calls herself feminist critiquing other feminists for not being as feminist as she is. And ignorantly claiming that some who are feminist in a different way from her way do not know the origin of feminism and feminist theory and she supported her thesis on her warped assessment that those less feminist claim to advocate for equity and not equality and that this is some how wrong and not feminist????

The Second, Joan Mugenzi tagged me to a post by Dr. Maggie Kigozi in which she celebrated the fact that the current Leader of the Opposition (LOP) in Parliament of Uganda, Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, and Hon. Winnie Kiiza the immediate former LOP are members of the Uganda Change Agent Association (UCAA). The reason that Joan tagged me to Dr. Maggie’s post is because she knows and appreciates my contribution in formation and nurturing if UCAA and therefore somewhat the two lady LOPs are testament of the success of that to which I contributed.

And then I was reminded of a time that some crazy was attempting to re-write history by making false sensational allegations against me and UCAA simply to further his warped partisan political argument. That time I decided to respond to the crazy in a manner that did not give him the kind of attention he so craved. I wrote and published on my blog:

“I have no energy to engage with RUSSIA-TYPE-TRUMP-TYPE-FAKE-NEWS-VENDOR-TYPES with inferiority complexes, which mentally enslave them to think that their only affirmation comes from falsely critiquing and diminishing another – as Trump is obsessed with Obama, for example.” click on the link and read more

To cut the long story short, I credit Joan for reminding me of the wisdom and my resolve never to invest time in engaging in a manner that lends credibility to posts of those with “inferiority complexes, which mentally enslave them to think that their only affirmation comes from falsely critiquing and diminishing another.”
