It is like the gate pass or get out of jail word that many duty bearers at all levels use in their responses and functions they are invited to by rights holders in order for the duty bearer to account

The duty bearer will start their speech “first of all am humbled to be invited blah, blah, blah.” And that is where the humbleness stops many times.

The rest of the duty bearer’s speech – content and tone – many times is no way near humble. In many cases projecting duty bearer as arrogant and out of touch, and certainly not “humbled”😊
