Share a story about the furthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

It had been a while since I visited our ancestral home and my Alinga Farms in Pallisa in Eastern Uganda.

Here I am in the neighborhood at one of my late father’s late brothers, papa Apuru’s home.

It so happened that the legitimate heir of papa Apuru, my cousin brother in English or brother in Ateso, Moses Mugaria, was also around with his children who had come for a visit with their grandma, toto Iculet.

As soon as she heard my voice my niece came running and gave me a huge hug.

Pure love from my niece

And then my cousin sister in English or sister in Ateso, Mugaria’s sister, Epodoi, was besides herself with joy. She too rushed to me and gave me a huge hug.

Epodoi is mongoloid and is in her 30s at least, if am not mistaken. Her mum, toto Adongo, has done magnificent by her.

Oh, by the way Epodoi doesn’t call me sister, she prefers to refer to me as her best friend. I don’t correct her for what a honor for her to view me as a friend.

Basking in love with my sister best friend Epodoi

Such pure love that money cannot buy. Wow! Am loved and it is a great feeling.

Next time I won’t journey away from home for so long. Home is where you are loved.
