Daily writing prompt
What personality trait in people raises a red flag with you?

First a clarification. For me there is no harmless lie, as we are told ‘white lies’ are “small harmless lies”. All lies have potential to harm. What is befuddling is that often time people tell ‘white lies’ even when it is not really necessary for them to do so. For me that is a red flag right there.

Often times, those who tell ‘white lies’ also tend to exaggerate things unnecessarily. For example, they make exaggerate how so well they received your bid presentation. When you don’t get they job, they will be heard saying something to the effect that they simply exaggerated how well you did not to upset you. Of what good is this?

Those with a propensity to exaggerate and tell ‘white lies’ raise red flags for me, because then I am always second guessing myself with them. When are they actually telling the truth as it is? When are they exaggerating and telling ‘white lies’? It is exhausting!

Be that as it may, we only get to do it once, so enjoy life. Don’t let them steal your joy. Have a blessed week.
