Without those who make physical art, I would not have all these beautiful artifacts in my home that each day nourish my soul and contribute to my mental well being. The makers of physical art, therefore, are my favorite.
Some of the physical art in my possession, I inherited from my ancestors gone. Made before my time, but are the connection between me and my ancestors. Reminding me of my roots, strengthening me and keeping me rooted.
I hope, when I am gone, the artifacts I have accumulated over the years will be the connection between those who come after me in remembrance of me.
I cannot name them by name, because I often focus on the artifact, and do not really pay attention to the makers. But to them I owe a debt of gratitude.
For when I am down and low, I will their creation or I will touch their creation and I am reminded of the good of the past and which can be the good of my future if I so choose to focus on the good.
They lift me up, each time, and usually when I most need them too.
