Do you ever see wild animals?
Do I ever see wild animals? Yes, on a daily basis. Mostly, not in their natural form and within their natural habitat in the wild.
Mostly I see them in their unnatural form and habitats in art forms and in commercial adverts. Our streets are increasingly populated with monuments and statues of wild animals. What is with that?

It rubs me the wrong way for our country and other African countries to similarly be overly marketed to the world for our wild animals.
While at the same time, little if at all, is marketed about our African-centric human civilizations. As in our human ways of life, culture and our contributions to global civilizations.
That is why I absolutely love it when am visiting another African country other than ours and there I find that which unites Africans – meeting points of how diverse cultures and civilizations.
Omweso, as it is called in Luganda, the language of the largest first nation of Uganda, Buganda, is a game of strategy indicative of great Afrocentric civilisations bequeathed to us by our ancestors.
I would like to see more about it as that which defines us and makes our country attractive to others to come and experience our human civilizations.
I am interested to know how Omweso is called in languages of other African countries and or other Ugandan languages. I am also interested to know if it is a game of countries in other continents other than Africa.
Please share in comments your knowledge and experiences with board games similar to Omweso. Thank you, I look forward to reading, learning and feeling global human connections.
Oooh, for those well traveled in Africa, which hotel lobby is this in the profiled photo and in which country? Here is a tip to jog your memory. It is a country heavily marketed for its wildlife😊
