I had just finished watching and listening to a clip in which Hon. Miria Matembe urges President Museveni to have a “human heart” in relation to the plight of Dr. Kiiza Besigye. If not for anything else, their history in the National Resistance Army war, she urged.
And then I saw the photo, herein profiled, which was posted on X by Hon. Winnie Byanyima, wife of Dr. Besigye, with a caption in which she informed that she was at Court with Hajjati Lutale, wife of Hajj Obeid Lutale, Dr. Besigye’s aid and co-accused.
Among whom I assume are family members of Hajj Lutale, I also immediately noticed Hon. Winnie Kiiza in the photo. She is one who is always at the right place and at the right time. She isn’t one to shy away from overtly supporting persons and causes where she deduces injustice.
Then, I thought, wait a minute, isn’t that Dr. Olive Kobusingye, Dr. Besigye’s sister, also in the photo? I think she is the one. And I immediately thought about her book “The Correct Line.”
Read Abbey Kibirige Semuwemba’s review, “‘The correct line’ is an eye opener to all Ugandans” for insights.
It would be foolhardy for me to write much more about this. As the saying goes, “a picture speaks a thousand words.” It perfectly captures the general reaction of many at learning the news: “Besigye, Lutale Returned to Luzira Prison.”
