2026 – 13th Anniversary

Continued upward annual growth in traffic and engagement. Comments which in themselves inspire and trigger more reflection and debate for the greater good. I feel as a productive active citizen accumulating a worthwhile legacy.
“A really thought-provoking pick — Easterly’s core question about whether outsiders know as much as they think about the ‘magic spells’ for development feels even sharper twenty years on. An updated edition reckoning with the Sahel, and with how much (or how little) the aid architecture has actually changed since 2006, would be a genuinely useful read. I’d especially want the sequel to test his searchers-versus-planners framing against the last two decades of results rather than just restating it. Whatever one ultimately concludes about the wider political shifts you point to, the accountability question he raised clearly hasn’t gone away. Thanks for the nudge to revisit it.” thetravelingtaylorsofficial in reaction to “Easterly’s “The White Man’s Burden” deserves a sequel” Click here to read the post.

2022 – 9th Anniversary
“Well done Norah! … A blog more of primary concern to our country AGRICULTURE!! Bravo Norah!! Kip it up,” Umar Senky.
“Thanks for the post. I cannot agree with you more, when our academia has let down their ancestral heritage of social companionship to developmental issues to a more self-centered, gated community approach,” Charles Matege.
“Good analysis. We should be investing more than trying to kill yoke before hatching,” Ojilong Patrick.
“Your opinion is so much adored and I believe this is what the government of Uganda should do, just like it’s neighbors,” Opio Moses.
“When I heard about taxing agricultural products, I felt like we need divine intervention,” Ester Namirimu.
Reactions to my first blog post in which I shared why I thought the “2014/2015 national budget was a recipe for food and nutrition insecurity.” I wrote:
“Agriculture is Uganda’s global comparative advantage, it is a primary economic growth driver and it is key in ensuring food and nutrition security for Ugandans. The budget 2014/2015 plans to increase food production costs through increased taxation – agricultural inputs will be heavily taxed.” Click here to read on …
Yes, my first blog post was, indeed, well received.
History
In November 2013, I registered with WordPress and begun the process of establishing a blog/website.
However, it was not until July 2014 when I actually took my blogging more seriously and posted my first blog post.
Thank you to all my followers who have enabled by journey becoming a blogger.
And so I blog on.
