Support Disadvantaged Student Interns in Uganda

Today, Monday, 10th September 2018, at 09:00 a.m. EDT, which is around 4:00 p.m. Uganda time, CPAR Uganda’s first ever on-line fundraising initiative will start accepting donations; which funds are intended for CPAR Uganda to mentor disadvantaged student interns that are affiliated to universities in the most disadvantaged region in our country, greater northern Uganda,.

CPAR Uganda is inspired by the life stories of Ugandan-born great mentors, such as its Board Chair, Professor Christopher Garimoi Orach and Mr. Opiyo Oloya, an educator; both who have risen from humble beginnings to become great achievers. Following in their footsteps, with your support, CPAR Uganda aims to mentor disadvantaged student interns and thus contribute to Uganda’s human development, in the form of skilled personnel that have experienced an awakening process and who will, therefore, effectively contribute to improving standards of living in greater northern Uganda.

Recently, CPAR Uganda was selected by GlobalGiving Foundation to participate in its Accelerator, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organisations around the world. In order for CPAR Uganda to succeed, it must raise $5,000 from 40 donors by 2nd October 2018. If CPAR Uganda meets this threshold, it will be permanently featured on GlobalGiving’s website, where it has the potential to benefit from corporate relationships, exposure to a new donor network, and access to dozens of online fundraising tools.

Please help CPAR Uganda to reach the threshold of $5,000 from 40 donors.

Click here and make a donation to support disadvantaged student interns in Uganda. Your donation will help us to provide student interns with stationary, training materials, utilities, transport, subsistence grants, telephone and internet access; and will facilitate the participation of our mentees in dialogue sessions with key influencers on issues that have direct impact on the lives and livelihoods of their communities.

CPAR Uganda also needs your help in spreading the word, please share this opportunity with your colleagues, friends and family.

Thank you!
