This is a test of my hypothesis that I could write whole stories without using the word “and”, so this is the only and last time it will be used in this post.

I think I can do so by simply writing shorter sentences. There is no need for writing long compound sentences that require it.

In some cases I have begun sentences using it. Then I realize that I should not have add it to the sentence because it is redundant. The meaning of the sentence grammatically would remain correct with out it. Similarly the content of the sentence would remain good quality without it.

This new quest not to use it at all or to use it less frequently may actually enhance my writing skills – be able to write with less words in a concise manner.

Food for thought to have in mind as I journey on writing without it.
